a singer-songwriter, composer
On this website you can get acquainted with the work of the singer and musician Luba Hilman (ex. Любочка).
At the age of 12 I decided that I wanted to dedicate my life to music, and since then music has been an integral part of my life. I write songs and compose instrumental music, sometimes in collaboration with other musicians, occasionally acting as a theatre composer and actively developing in various creative directions.
Luba attended a music and choreography school in her native Brest (Belarus), before moving to England in her teenage years, where she graduated from high school and entered the Keyboard Department of Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
The singer's first album "Герой" (Hero), released under the pseudonym "Любочка", consists of songs written in Russian. The title track was released in 2017 and was added to the rotation of Radio Europa Plus Ukraine. A music video for the above-mentioned single premiered on the M2 music television channel (Ukraine) shortly after. The music video also appeared on the Russian music channel ELLO, making it to the top 10 most popular tracks of the week.
The musician is striving to take her creativity to the next level. In order to share her music internationally without being limited to the Russian-speaking audience, the singer is now performing under her actual name Luba Hilman.
I want to broaden horizons and blur boundaries. Music has no limits, so expanding on an international scale is only natural.
The performer can often be seen on stage not only as a musician, but also as a theatre actress.
In London, Luba studied acting at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, and is currently involved in several productions by independent theatre companies.
Luba actively participates in music festivals, both in the UK and Eastern Europe, and regularly performs at various events and concerts.
I play both the piano and the guitar, but am inseparable with the latter. Everywhere I go, whether a concert or a vacation, I take my guitar with me.
